Billing Chimneys have had more than 20 years experience in flue lining, chimney construction, chimney repairs and general maintenance. Incorrect design and flue sizing is a common fault resulting in poor flue performance, unsafe and dangerous conditions allowing poisonous fumes into unsuitable areas and, in the event of a chimney fire, may cause partial or complete structural damage. |
We are happy to discuss the advantages and disadvantages
of various chimney systems and to find out which one is most suitable
for your requirements. The correct lining system offers good insulation
that reduces the amount of condensation and consequent tar and corrosive
deposits. In the event of a chimney fire the lining system will withstand
the temperatures created and will therefore restrict the damage caused
to the chimney and adjacent structure. |

We also carry out CCTV flue surveys that will highlight
any problems in defective chimneys and flues. The video is supplied with
a written report about the condition of the chimney or flue along with
suggested recommendations for overcoming the problems that have been
identified. |
During the last 20 years we have refurbished many chimneys and flues
ranging from a 150mm liner for an enclosed domestic appliance to a large
600mm diameter flue suitable for an open log fire or industrial boiler. |
We have carried out numerous contracts for the National Trust, the
Ministry of Defence, various local authorities, housing associations
and architects as nominated sub-contractors as well as country houses,
hotels, schools and private houses. |
We are an Isokern approved installer and have also gained ISO 9002
approval. If you feel we can be of assistance then please do not hesitate
to contact us. |
