Can I leave the stove slumbering overnight?

Some stoves are designed to slumber overnight but we strongly recommend that stoves that have been left to slumber are burnt brightly at least once a day in order to clear out any tarry deposits that may have developed whilst the flue has cooled. Ideally a hot bright fire is used all the time. If you think that this is the sort of use you will make of your fire then you may also consider either a pumice liner or flexible 904 quality stainless steel.
