About us

Billing Chimney & Flue Services Ltd is a family run company with a reputation for high quality workmanship conducted in a professional manner.

We work in both domestic and commercial settings and with a range of clients. We undertake specialist work on thatched and heritage properties, chimney linings, chimney refurbishment and rebuilds, stove installations and flue maintenance.

Our work varies from day to day so a range of tasks will be asked of you. Some jobs can last a month, others for only a few hours, so efficiency and good time management are very important.

About you

We are looking for a multi-skilled, qualified and motivated person with excellent attention to detail to join our team of chimney engineers.

Ideally, you will have NVQ Level 3 in bricklaying or relevant experience within the construction industry. We will also consider candidates from an engineering background. The ability to transfer your existing skills and learn new ones is essential. A work portfolio to demonstrate your experience would be an advantage.

You will be expected to work safely and keep the site, tools and van clean and tidy. You will frequently work at height from safe working platforms.

We are looking for someone who is personable, smartly presented and trustworthy to represent our company in a positive manner. You should be prepared to take responsibility for your work and ensure this is completed to the standards we require. You will usually work as part of a small team but occasionally you will work alone.

  • Recent employment references
  • Relevant or similar qualification to Level NVQ3 or City and Guilds
  • Hold a valid CSCS card
  • Full driving licence
